IMPORTANT! :By booking this car, you accept the terms and conditions of the car rental agency.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

  • The car must be delivered at the time agreed in the contract or within 2 hours later. Otherwise, the equivalent amount of 1 more day without extension will be charged.
  • The minimum rental period is 3 days in the periods that include the high tourist season, 5 days for the extreme high season periods.
  • The services will not be confirmed in Cayo Santa María, nor openings, extensions or contractual agreements, the alternative will be in Caibarien, a city located 30 km from Cayo, with facilities to deliver it there, with an additional payment for transfers to Cayo.
  • To have the rental contract, you must present a passport and a driving license, otherwise the service will not be performed and will be considered No Show.
  • Minimum age required to drive: 21 years with at least 1 year of experience.
  • All cars are insured against total or partial theft of the vehicle, accident, rollover, catastrophes and damage to third parties. To protect itself against financial liability for damage to the vehicle, CUBACAR offers cover against damage. The customer must necessarily benefit from this insurance coverage. This coverage will be included in the payment of daily rates that vary according to the vehicle category.
  • It is mandatory to pay for the insurance or liability insurance offered by Cubacar. The payment of this cover exempts from the responsibility of payment to THE LESSEE for the concepts:
  1. Vehicle damage
  2. Vehicle loss
  3. Fire
  4. Total or partial theft (excluding tires and stereos)
  5. Shock or rollover
  6. Accidents
  7. Natural disasters
  8. Damage caused to the property of third parties or injury to third parties caused when driving a vehicle on public roads.
  9. In all the cases described in the preceding clause, the user must immediately inform the police of the event, receiving a corresponding official document, which must be presented at the time of the liquidation or delivery of the car. Without this document there is no claim or insurance coverage.
  10. The insurance does not cover damages in the event of:
  11. Theft of tires and / or audio equipment
  12. Thefts, accidents or partial fires due to negligent performance of the client or when demonstrated by the competent authorities that the customer was driving drunk or under the influence of illegal drugs or the like or when the vehicle is detected in illegal activities or driven by a driver not included in the rental agreement.
  13. Rental in international airports, 20.00 CUC is charged directly at the CUBACAR offices.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOW POLICY:

  • Rental canceled 7 days before the start of the same proceeds to penalize with 100% of the confirmed booking.
  • Rental canceled 15 days before the start of the same proceeds to penalize with 2 days of rent.
  • The rental canceled at least 16 days before the start of the same penalty NO will be charged.

No Show if the customer does not show up to pick up the car within 2 hours after the time requested at all rental points except in the airports that are considered 3 hours after the arrival of the flight) without the presentation of the user in the agreed sales office, based on the request and confirmation, is considered to be delayed and it is at the discretion of the sales office to declare the non-presentation due to failure to present the user.

No-Show: the customer will pay a penalty of 100% of the amount corresponding to the total rental price.
