GENERAL CONDITIONS:

The customer must comply with the conditions and terms set forth in the Lease Agreement that is given to the customer to sign at the Rental Point. This includes the use of the Roadside Assistance contacts in case of any emergency as defined in the Lease Agreement.

The vehicle may be driven only by the persons registered on the Rental Agreement.

The pick-up and drop-off times of the vehicles must correspond to the working hours of the requested rental point. The customer is entitled to a maximum delay of 3 hours to deliver the car after 24 hours of rental. If the customer delays more than 3 hours, he/she must pay REX Car Rental an additional rental day according to the public rates.

The customer must pay to REX Car Rental Company: additional charges at the opening or closing of the contract (insurance, fuel, additional driver, penalty, traffic fines, etc.) all in USD or Convertible Currency and by credit card. Cash payments will not be accepted.

The car is delivered with a full tank of fuel and will be charged at the beginning of the rental the value of the full tank at the current official prices. The client is responsible for the use of the correct type and quality of fuel for the vehicle (special gasoline only).

DRIVER:

The client must present at the time of making the rental contract: his passport, residence abroad and driver's license, otherwise the service will not be executed and will be considered a No Show.

Minimum age required to drive: 21 years old. Except for category I, (Sport) in which is 25 years old. With minimum 3 years of experience.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER:

There is the possibility of a maximum of 2 additional drivers, payable at the time they decide to be included in the contract, with driver's license with at least one year of experience. In this case an extra charge of 10.00 USD per driver per day applies. Additional drivers are authorized only to drive the vehicle, but may not pick up or deliver the car, receive cash refunds, or request extensions. These transactions with REX must be made by the Customer.

If the Customer leaves the vehicle in charge of the additional Driver for its return, he/she will be responsible for the payment of any damage detected at the end of the rental, as well as other charges agreed at the beginning of the signing of the Rental Agreement, without the right to claim. Additionally, REX will apply a penalty of 50.00 USD.

Foreigner: 18 years of age and older.

Cuban resident in Cuba or abroad: 21 years of age or older.

When it is detected that the rented vehicle is being driven by persons not authorized in the contract, the official authorities will notify this situation in the contract to the client with a penalty amounting to the loss of the amount of the days pending to be used and the guarantee deposit, as well as proceeding to withdraw the rented vehicle from the client.

INSURANCE COVERAGES:

All REX cars are insured against total or partial theft of the vehicle, collision, overturn, catastrophes and damages to third parties. REX does not offer insurance to its customers. In order to protect its customers from financial responsibility for damages to the vehicle, REX offers coverage against damages. The Customer must take out this Super CDP Coverage in order to rent the car. This coverage can be purchased by paying daily rates that vary depending on the category of the vehicle.

Partial liability waiver for damages to the integrity of the vehicle (Super CDP).

By accepting the Super CDP, the client is totally exempt from financial responsibility for damages caused to the vehicle. In the event of an accident in which the clauses set forth in the rental contract are not violated, the customer shall not pay REX any additional payment.

In case of an accident, the customer must submit a police report to REX and will only pay for the damage caused if such report establishes a violation of the clauses set forth in the rental contract (drug use, alcohol, driver not registered in the contract).

The coverages are not valid for a driver who is not registered in the Contract from the beginning of the rental.

Coverage does not cover loss or damage to accessories (wiper blades, before, rear view mirrors, etc). These charges will be paid directly by the customer.

The client will assume the total costs for the damages caused to the car in the following cases:

Use of narcotics, alcohol or medications that impede the full performance of the client or additional drivers duly registered in the rental contract.

If the police or SEPSA report establishes a violation in any of the clauses of the rental contract signed by the client and REX.

If the car is driven by a person not registered in the rental agreement.

If no police report or SEPSA report is filed.

In case of accident or theft, the customer must:

Immediately notify the competent authority closest to the place of the event (police) or contact, at no additional charge, the services of the Security and Protection Company (SEPSA), available in Havana City, Santiago de Cuba, Holguin, Villa Clara and Varadero.

Notify the car rental company REX.

Take the necessary safety measures with the vehicle to avoid additional damages.

Fill out the damage report provided by a REX official.

AIRPORT TAX:

When the client takes the car at the International Airports of the country, he/she must pay a tax of 20.00 USD directly at the REX Offices, at the time of rental.

CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOW POLICY:

Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the start of the reservation will be charged a penalty corresponding to 1 day of rental for cancellation fees.

Cancellations made less than 5 days before the beginning of the reservation, a penalty corresponding to 100% of the total amount of the rental will be applied as cancellation fee.

It will be considered No Show if the client does not show up to pick up the car within 4 hours after the requested time at all rental points except at the airport where the car will be kept for up to 24 hours.

No-Show: The customer will pay a penalty amounting to 100% of the total amount of the rental.

OTHER POSSIBLE CHARGES TO BE APPLIED:

In case of loss of the car key: 200.00 USD penalty.
If the key is left inside the car, for bringing the spare key to the client, 50.00 USD in Havana City and 100.00 USD in the rest of the provinces will be charged as a penalty.
If the client delivers the car extremely dirty or transports animals inside the car: 50.00 USD penalty.
If the car is delivered by an additional driver: 50.00 USD penalty,
If the car is driven or returned by a person not registered from the beginning of the rental, the amount of the unused days and the security deposit will be penalized.
In case of loss of the car's carpets: 50.00 USD penalty.

CONDITIONS OF DELIVERY OF THE CARS (DROP OFF)

The Customer may return the car at any REX rental office in the country without additional charges (drop off charge). Drop off/pick up service at locations where there is no Rex office is subject to confirmation by the rental company.

If the car is returned to a location other than the specified REX rental offices, a drop off charge will apply.
