Description

The Canímar River, a national monument of Cuba in the city of Matanzas, this river is considered one of the most important archaeological sites of Matanzas, a province populated millennia ago by aboriginal communities at different levels of development. The Canímar is born in the Santa Ana region, it receives water from numerous tributaries that come from Juan Gualberto Gómez, Cidra, Mahogany, Limones and Santa Ana. Among the most important are the Yaité or Yaití, known as Limones Grandes, that of La Palma , that of Cidra and that of Guamacaro, also called Moreto or Morato. The Canímar River is, in terms of flow and length, the main river in the province of Matanzas, Cuba. The Río Canímar Tourist Park, just 25 minutes from Varadero, which offers clients a paradisiacal setting, clients can navigate by boat through the cliffs and the exotic vegetation where the legendary Canímar River flows, where they can enjoy , optionally horseback riding, a performance of the aboriginal legends of the area or delight in the rich flavor of Cuban cuisine.
