The striking prehistoric mural is painted on the natural wall of the mogote of Pita del Valle dei Due Sisters, in the Sierra de los Órganos. 4 km west of the city of Vinales, in western Cuba . The construction of the marvelous Mural of Prehistory began in 1961, designed by Leovigildo González Morillo, who learned his skills mainly from the celebrated artist Diego Rivera.
The mural is 120 meters long, making it one of the largest open-air paintings in the world.
It took four years and about twenty farmers to complete.
