DESCRIPTION:

Founded in 1514, Trinidad is Cuba's third-oldest city and has been a World Heritage Site since 1988 for its exceptional state of preservation and rich socio-cultural and economic history. The walking tour allows you to discover the colonial charm of its historic center, admiring buildings, traditions, and evidence of the splendor achieved between the 18th and 19th centuries.

PROGRAM:

9:00 AM: Departure from the City Model (Calle Colón and Calle Maceo) with a brief introduction to the history and structure of the city.

9:30 AM: Stroll along Maceo and Piro Guinart streets to Plaza del Jigüe, the founding site of Trinidad. Explanations of the local architecture and traditions. Stop at La Canchánchara tavern to taste the traditional drink and learn about its history and preparation.

10:30 AM: Continue along Calle Real del Jigüe to Plaza Mayor, with a visit to one of the historical museums included in the tour.

11:30 AM: Free time to visit cultural centers such as the Casa de la Música, the Casa de la Trova, or the Palenque de los Congos Reales, and to shop for local crafts.

12:30: Return to the starting point.
