Designed over 100 years ago, the Plaza Hotel has a conical triangular shape, giving it a peculiar charm. Details such as the original floor of the lobby, which is partially preserved, and the raised windows with the Hotel Plaza emblem engraved in the center, reflect elements of the early 20th century.
The lobby and nearby bar are lively and popular, thanks to the soundtrack provided by inspired travelers in harmony with the bubbling fountain and the chirping of little birds in their cages. The stained glass domes on the ceiling, with beautiful Art Nouveau images, filter the sun's rays.
The Hotel Plaza has three restaurants and three bars; Among them, Fausto stands out, the buffet restaurant and bar on the fifth floor, where there is also the roof terrace that offers extensive views of the city, similar to those seen from the terraces of the nearby Central Park and England. Any of these places offers a well-deserved respite from the hustle and bustle of Havana and is a great way to recharge your batteries before heading out on a new excursion.
The Plaza exudes a subdued grandeur that makes it possible to imagine Albert Einstein and Babe Ruth (former guests here) walking the halls.
Today, the Plaza is an affordable option with a prime location.
