The name of the hotel "Camino de Hierro" recalls the importance that the railway lines had for the prosperity of Camagüey. The hotel shows beautiful works of art by the renowned artist Marta Jiménez. It was opened as a hotel in August 2011. The hotel bar offers excellent cocktails and they also have another bar in the adjacent building. During the day it is nice to relax in the inner garden or sunbathe while watching how the time goes by on the outdoor patio. It may not be suitable for light sleepers, but Camino de Hierro is a good option for anyone who wants to try part of colonial Cuba in the center of Camaguey, especially for those who love nightlife.
