Guardalavaca

Guardalavaca is a tourist area located on the north coast of Cuba. It is famous for its endless beaches of fine sand, including those of Esmeralda and Pesquero. In its crystalline waters there are extensive coral reefs with abundant marine species. In a deep bay to the west of the city, dolphins and sea lions perform shows at the Cayo Naranjo aquarium. Inside, the Chorro de Maíta museum includes exhibits of skeletons and artifacts from the region's pre-Columbian peoples.

"... the most beautiful land that human eyes have seen", according to Admiral Christopher Columbus, offers the visitor a virgin and exuberant nature, together with its rich cultural tradition and great historical interest.
